Plane Crashes into Spectators During Reno Air Races (VIDEO)

A plane has crashed into the seating area of the National Air Championship air races today around 4:30pm local time (7:30pm Eastern).  The plane was a Unlimited P-51 Mustang “Galloping Ghost,” a World War II era fighter plane. Reports from the scene estimate injuries of at least 75, and 12 possible deaths with 2 confirmed as of now.  Video below:

UPDATE: The pilot, identified as Jimmy Leeward of Ocala, Florida, has been confirmed as one of the dead. Leeward was a well known air racing pilot, and the owner of Leeward Air Ranch Racing Team in Florida.
